What makes our eco neck gaiter different?
Most neck gaiters are made of polyester, which is produced by microplastics and can take around 450 years to breakdown. These microplastics can gradually shed to make their way into our bodies or pollute our earth.
Our neck gaiters are handmade in Vancouver, BC and are made of sustainably produced fabrics such as organic cotton and certified TENCELTM Lyocell fabric. This organic cotton neck gaiter composition provides moisture control, reduces bacterial growth and is ideal for sensitive skin.
- TENCELTM Lyocell fabric is a rayon cellulose fiber derived from sustainable wood sources that are harvested from renewable tree groves in an eco-friendly, closed loop process. Learn more about TENCELTM Lyocell HERE.
- Unlike conventional cotton, organic cotton is grown without synthetic fertilizers and create a biodiverse, balanced ecosystem. Read more about why it is the more sustainable natural fibre HERE.
Additionally, our fabric supplier is OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning that no harmful substances were used during all stages of the fabric’s production.
The neck gaiter composition is 66% TENCEL Lyocell, 28% Organic Cotton and 6% spandex.
What size does it come in?
For now, our neck gaiter is a unisex one-size-fits-all. Unstretched, it measures 19” in length and 21” round. This will fit an average sized adult head of ~20-25” around.
Care instructions:
TENCEL Lyocell fabric should be washed in cold water and on a gentle cycle. Wash with other delicates, if available and hang to dry. Note that Tencel is naturally odor resistant so there is no need to wash the gaiter after every wear.
